Outpatient Rehab in Denver

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Denver, CO

Adjusting to your everyday life after an addiction treatment program can be challenging and uncomfortable. But a transition period in between can make your return easier to handle.

At The Raleigh House, we offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Denver designed to help you continue treatment as you slowly return to normal life.

We offer different levels of outpatient treatment depending on the type of care you require. Our IOP therapy program is part of our continuum of care after residential treatment, or you can enter into outpatient treatment directly if deemed appropriate.

Learn more about intensive outpatient treatment below, or contact us now to help you or your loved one get the needed treatment.

Levels of Care in Our Intensive Outpatient Program

Our goal is to match you with the right form of treatment. Whether you’re coming from residential treatment or entering directly into an IOP program, our team can help you determine the right level of care for your specific situation and needs.

We pride ourselves on not only providing IOP services for addiction but also IOP mental health options that focus on dual diagnosis and mental health care.

Day Treatment with Housing

This level of care includes five days a week of outpatient treatment and housing at one of our outpatient residences. Your weekly treatment includes therapy sessions from 9 am to 2:30 pm, followed by time at the gym and additional support meetings. On the weekends, you’ll have the opportunity to see your family and participate in extracurricular activities with your housemates.

Day Treatment without Housing

This level of intensive outpatient therapy includes the same five days a week of treatment. The only difference is that you’ll live at home instead of in one of our outpatient residences. This type of treatment is ideal for mothers with families they need to take care of or individuals who are capable of living at home again without feeling immediately tempted to relapse.

Nighttime Treatment Program

Our outpatient treatment program at night includes 9 hours a week of group therapy. This level of care is ideal for families and people with full-time jobs if you’re stepping down from treatment or struggling with a minor addiction that hasn’t disturbed the rest of your life. Our team can help determine if nighttime outpatient treatment is right for you.

What to Expect in an IOP Program

Our intensive outpatient program in Colorado is focused on delivering comprehensive therapeutic interventions, personalized care plans, and robust support systems to empower individuals in their journey toward sustainable recovery and improved mental well-being.

If you are part of the 5-day IOP program, each day will begin at 9 a.m. with a meditation and mindfulness group session to help you prepare your mind and body for rehab.

You’ll then spend two hours in process groups from 10 am to 12 pm. This is where you’ll meet with different therapists to cover topics like substance abuse, trauma, and family therapy.

After an hour-long lunch break, you’ll spend 1 pm to 2:30 pm participating in art therapy, nutrition education, and other group therapy sessions.

During the rest of your afternoon, you’ll have the chance to unwind, exercise at the gym, and attend Alcoholics Anonymous or other support groups in the area.

On weekends, you’ll come to The Ranch to spend time with others recovering from addiction. With a barbeque, bonfires, volleyball games, and socializing, this is a fun and relaxed environment where you can connect and have a good time without drugs or alcohol.

Throughout your time in outpatient treatment at our facility in Denver, you’ll gain more independence to help you ease back into everyday life. You’ll get to go to the movies with housemates, return home to see family and take care of household responsibilities, go to the grocery store to purchase your own food, apply for or begin returning to work, and much more.
